Problem Statement

In today’s world, we aim to minimize the time spent on routine tasks. Even something as straightforward as importing photos and videos from a camera can become a time sink for photographers and videographers. You typically need to:

• Insert your camera’s SD card
• Identify and select new shots to copy
• Organize your media workspace by creating folders for photos and videos
• Further structure files by resolution or type (e.g., FullHD, 4K, slow motion)
• Copy each file manually to the right location

Photographers and videographers often rely on additional tools just to read metadata — like shutter speed, aperture, bit depth, or duration — before they can even decide how to process their footage.

When importing media into a video editor, you usually need to manually check each file’s metadata to sort it by resolution (e.g. 4K, FullHD) or frame rate (24fps, 30fps, 60fps, etc.). This slows down the editing process and makes it harder to find the right shot.
